Constanta is the holiday and entertainment capital of Romania, with some 10 main beach resorts are located to the south of Constanta along the Black Sea coast while Mamaia, the main resort, lies a few kilometres north of the city.
Constanta is the main gate to the Black Sea and the Danube and is strategically located with excellent transport links via sea, river (Danube), rail, road and air. The city is an important centre of foreign trade with the Constanta-South Free Zone and Basarbi Free Zone enabling the growth of industry and business in the Harbour Area.
